R3M Engineering, Inc. is seeking Senior Structural Engineers to support current water and wastewater planning, design and construction projects involving large pump station and treatment plant rehabilitation, flood protection systems, standby power resiliency facilities, and pipeline infrastructure rehabilitation, inspection, repair and replacement of water mains, force mains and gravity sewers.
R3M is searching for candidates with expertise in structural engineering for the design of new or modification to existing process and water bearing structures as well as large diameter pipelines. R3M is looking to bring on key individuals with proven experience and relationships to help grow our practice which is located in Old Bridge, New Jersey.
Management Requirements:
- Manage multiple technical assignments while leading project teams to complete projects to exceed client expectations for approach, scope, budget and schedule.
- Develop and maintain client relationships, understanding their current and future needs to ensure expectations are met.
- Support business development pursuits, identifying opportunities and preparing proposals to meet R3M’s growth goals.
Technical Requirements:
- Demonstrate technical excellence in the performance of project assignments including planning, design, project management, regulatory coordination and construction services.
- Effective ability to assemble and present written recommendations on processes, prepare reports; inspect, test and evaluate treatment plants and processes; and prepare design and bid documents.
Project and Marketing Experience:
- Perform site inspections and assessment of water bearing and process structures and facilities as well as large diameter pipelines.
- Prior experience in the inspection, evaluation, modification or repair of water bearing and process structures and facilities as well as large diameter pipelines for gravity and pressure flow conditions.
- Proven experience with environmental rules and regulations in the water and wastewater field.
- Experience during startup of wastewater processes and systems is preferred.
- Engineering support during construction of pipelines and facilities, including shop drawing review, response to RFIs, site inspections, and addressing concerns due to changed conditions.
- This candidate will support major projects involving the planning, design, and startup of wastewater process and treatment systems, large diameter pipelines and water bearing structures.
Educational Background, License, and Other Requirements:
- BS Civil Engineering, Structural Disciplines
- New Jersey PE
- 7-12 years of experience
- Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and have a valid driver’s license.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
